Choosing the right course There is no one size fits all when it comes to your career and your future. That is why you can choose from a wide range of A Level, BTEC and T Level courses at CTK St Mary’s. Whichever route you choose, you will be aiming to study at one of the UK’s top universities. A Levels If you enjoyed your GCSEs and would like to continue with the range of more traditional subjects you have been studying, A Levels could be a good choice for you. A Levels are essential for certain career routes and still required by some universities, such as Oxford and Cambridge. External speakers Our external speaker programme brings more than 30 specialists in their field to our Christ the King Sixth Form centres each year. Previous speakers have included Sir Ian Cheshire (Chairman of Barclays), David Thompson (film producer) and Gary Gibbon (Channel 4 News Political Editor). BTECs and T Levels If you want to specialise in a single subject that you really enjoy, advanced BTECs or a T Level are both great options. You will achieve UCAS points in the same way as A Levels, ensuring you have lots of university options to choose from. Almost 87% of vocational level 3 students at CTK go on to universities, including prestigious Russell Group institutions. Apply to the best universities You will be encouraged to apply to top universities and will be given tailored help with UCAS applications and interviews. To help you choose the right university, you will hear talks from graduates and undergraduates, as well as attending the annual careers conference.
